Three Year Old With An Attitude......

Ava has a little purple Dinosaur about 1/2 inch tall that she takes to bed with her and it typically stays in her bed all day long. Well she brought it out one morning dropped on the floor and I picked up and put on the counter. This is what happened next between Ava and I:

Ava: (eating breakfast looking directly at me pointing her finger) "You Do Not Take My Dinosaur Out of My Bed"

Brandi: (With Josh laughing hysterically) "You Do Not Talk To Me Like That" and "You Are The One Who Took The Dinosaur Out Of Your Bed"

Ava: I forgive you.

Where do they learn this stuff???

"Pesty Pressures"

I was watching the news this morning and to my suprise McDonald's is being sued for the toys in happy meals and how they market them. I am beyond disturbed by the fact that this is going to happen. Apparently parents are being nagged by their children when they see the commercials for the toys. The last time I checked parents are in charge of there children under the age of 18. Whatever happened to saying "NO" and meaning no. If your kids continously bug you for something it is your own fault. Take responsiblity, you are the one driving the car, you are the one pulling into the parking lot and you are the one paying for the meal. That is my opinion on the matter!

30 WEEK UPDATE

This morning I had my 30 week checkup, actually it was considered my 28 week check up since I am two weeks behind. Not my fault though! The doctor just had to cancel a couple of my appointments so it puts me behind. I had the lovely glucose test which I am assuming will be absolutely fine considering I have never had an issue before.

A few details:

BP: 104/70
Weight Gain: 1 pound. Which I am proud to say I have only gained a total of 11 pounds and can still wear my regular pants!!
Baby's Heart Rate: 140
The baby is currently breached but no worries he has plenty of time to get into position.

IT'S A BOY!!

At my last appointment Josh and I found out that we will be having another little baby boy!

Monkey Baby.....

This morning Josh and I were watching Discovery Health on Special Deliveries. An African American lady had a c-section and when the pulled out the baby Ava's response was "Look Mommy and Daddy, It is a monkey baby". We did explain to her that it was just a darker colored baby not a monkey!

Pregancy Cravings

I never reallly had pregancy cravings with my first two children. Every once in a while I would be hungry for something but never to the extent that I would just die if I didn't have it. This weekend was the first time that I have had to have somehting. That was something was dill pickle chips, which I absolutely hate, and 7up. So basically my diet this weekend consisted of some tea, water, 7up, and dill pickle chips.......

My Little Man....

Josh refuses to pay for haircuts for himself and Eli. No hairstylist can do a millitary cut like Josh can. It takes a lot of patience on Josh's part to get Eli's haircut but he manages to get it done. When he is done Eli looks like a little man....verses a toddler.

They Might Be Keepers....

This May will be the four year anniversary of us building and moving into our home! There is a rental property located directly behind us. (We have about 1.25 acres so there is a good distance between us and them.) Every six months the owners lease the property out to new people. We have had frequent smokers and fighters, drunks, out of control teenagers with load music at 2am. Sexually active teenagers who were not afraid to show it off to the neighborhood, underage drinking parties which Josh and Chris (the neighbor) took care of, barking dogs left out on the deck in the cold, drug dealers, and frequent police visits.
We were estatic when February 1st rolled around and pulled up a nice minivan with what appeared to be a loving family. They have three kids one about three, one about six or seven, and one about ten. Oh yes and they have a dog and the kids are always outside playing with him and playing in the snow. I have yet to see the police arrive. This may be dream come true....finally I can take my kids outside without wondering what they see going on at the house next door!

A Year Later.....

I know it has been a really LOOOOOOOOOOONG time sinced I blogged and I am now planning on getting back into it. The past year has been somewhat eventful for us.

Not much happened in January, February, March, or April!

In May, Josh and I took our belated honeymoon to Alabama to visit a friend, then to Florida, and then a crusie to the Bahammas. It started out a little rocky but it was seven eventful days! I think the best part was when the cancelled our snorkeling due to a thunderstorm. When we got on the boat and they said we were going out to the middle of the ocean. I looked at Josh and said there is no way I am getting off this boat in the middle of the ocean! Okay so that was not the best part. I will remeber how beautiful the ocean is. Our hotel was ocean front property a couple of nights and was wonderful to look at!

In June, we had to say goodbye to Sammy and Aaron. They have lived in Minnesota for a year and we got to spend a ton of quality time together. Before they headed out we took them backpack camping, poontoon boat riding and rented a cabin in Hayward for the weekend. I now have a new love for Kayaking. I also gained an awesome friendship with Sammy. Even though she is my sister in law we never got a chance to really get to know each other due to the distance. Now we are great friends and she is missed dearly!

In July, we made a really hard decision and switched daycares for our children. We prayed hard to make this decision as we knew what the outcome would be for our previous daycare provider. So in July we moved the kids from the east side of New Richmond to the west side. It turned out to be a great decision. The kids absolutely loves Jessie and so do we :) The have improved leaps and bonds since they have gone there. Ava knows her alaphabet and can count to 10. She knows her colors and a lot of songs. Eli knows a lot of the same info he just doesn't have the time to share it with us! He is a busy boy :)

September was a big month in our household. In most household's this would not mean anything but when you live with Josh it does! He made the decision to sell his baby (his black lifted truck) and he sold it to someone who he knew would take great care of it! It was a hard day for him to see it being taken out the driveway but in return he got to buy an Chevy Avalanche. Which finally we have a truck that whole fam can ride in! Oh yes we also sold the Cavalier since Josh works five minutes from home and really did not see the need for it anymore. It went to a wonderful lady from our church!!!

The rest of the year flew by! We celebrated Eli's second birthday on November 21st with the Bell Family and celebrated Ava's 3rd birthday on December 4th with the Kannel Family. Christmas came and went. The kids went to Grandma and Grandpa Bell's for a week and it was some piece and quiet around the house! It was great. Don't get me wrong I love my kids but a little quiet is wonderful, especially have a child who has munch energy has Eli!

Josh and I also found out in December that we have been blessed with our third bundle of Joy due to arrive on August 27th....More on that to come!

Well that is a glimpse in our live to get you caught up on the past year!
